This previously unreleased album features tracks recorded between 1996 and 1999 in Paris, at the local Châtelet club Le Petit Opportun. It celebrates the 10th anniversary of Michel GRAILLIER's passing.
Michel "Mickey" GRAILLIER was a uniquely-gifted, essential and indispensable musician. He remains a lively and contemporary jazzman doted with the ability to sustain, beyond time, new and sharp emotions among jazz amateurs today. Mickey counts as an intimate pianist of the inside, an explorer of the far inner lands. He delivers here, freely, a music where fire and mist meet, shimmering under the effect of a perfectly just inner tempo amidst the cracks of silence. It follows its lunar path like a graceful cat, reaching the outskirts of inspiration. Michel Graillier was able stir strong images and vibrant emotions in our hearts.
